PRESENT PERFECT ADVERBS
What are the adverbs used in the present perfect?

Ever is used for affirmative or negative
questions. We use when we have experiences at some time in our lives.
It is placed before the main verb in the past participle.
STRUCTURE
Have/has + subject + EVER + past participle
+ complement + ?
And the answer could be:
Yes, I have = I have eaten spicy Korean
food.
No, I haven’t = No, I have NEVER eaten spicy Korean food.
EXAMPLES
◈ Has Jessica EVER designed a prom dress?

Never is used for statements in NEGATIVE, when
we have NOT had any experience in life.
It is placed before the main verb in the past participle.

Subject + have/has + NEVER + past participle + complement
EXAMPLES
◈ Tatiana and Wilson have NEVER drank soju. Today will be their first time!

Yet is used for affirmative or negative
questions and NEGATIVE statements.
It means we have not finished, but we believe we
will.
It is usually placed at the end of the sentence.
STRUCTURE
Negative statement: Subject + have/has +
NOT + past participle + complement + yet
Affirmative question: Have/Has + subject +
past participle + complement + yet + ?
Negative question: Have/Has + NOT + subject + past participle + complement + yet + ?
EXAMPLES
◈ Have your mom and her friend dyed their hair YET?

Already is used for affirmative questions
and AFFIRMATIVE statements. It means we have finished doing something, and it is
not necessary to do it again.
It can be placed before the past participle or at the end of the phrase.
STRUCTURE
Affirmative statement: Subject + have/has +
past participle + complement + already.
Subject + have/has + already + past
participle + complement
Affirmative question: Have/Has + subject +
past participle + complement + already + ?
Have/Has + subject + already + past
participle + complement + ?
