What is the Present Perfect?
It is a verb tense that is generally used to
describe an action that began in the past and continues in the present.
It needs the auxiliary verb “have” in the present and a past participle.

NEGATIVE
Subject + have/has + not + past participle + complement
My cat has not been at the window since this morning.

1. Unspecified time in the past
- Activity started and finished in the past.
2. Since/for
- Activity began in the past and is still
going on now.
EXAMPLES
◈ She hasn't forgotten her appointment with the dentist.
◈ Marco and Fausto have bought roasted chicken and chips for dinner.
◈ We have not decided where to go! So we have to improvise.
